We are looking for Resident Project Representatives/Inspectors (RPRs) for Water Storage & Water Pumping Station Facilities in the Maryland/DC region for water tank and water pumping facility construction projects in Maryland and the District of Columbia. The RPR is responsible for providing daily construction management and inspection services for water facilities (tanks & pumping stations) including new construction and rehabilitation or upgrades including mechanical, electrical and control systems and related yard piping and civil site improvements.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include: performing full time, on-site inspections and documentation to monitor the contractor's work for compliance with the contract documents; preparing daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by Contractor(s); coordinating and observing materials testing and maintaining testing logs; reviewing periodic pay estimates for accuracy with Contractor(s); preparing sketches and assembling data for Owner or Engineer's use in making changes to the project; keeping diaries and making reports on work accomplished and/or noted deficiencies. Communicating with the Engineer, Owner and Operations Personnel on a regular basis keeping them apprised of field conditions, changes and maintaining effective communications and rapport with the Facility Owner and the entire construction project team throughout the construction phase.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an RPR on water tank or water pumping stations construction ($1M- $10M range) and must have a proven track record of successfully completing construction assignments. A listing of specific, similar project experience should be provided in addition to a resume demonstrating experience performing the required duties.
- Associates degree in Construction Management or Civil/Environmental Engineering required (Bachelor degree preferred)
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Sediment & erosion control certification
- Material testing certifications desirable including WACEL or MARCTP
- OSHA safety training and/or certification preferred
- Familiarity w/ Primavera or Microsoft construction scheduling software
- Familiarity with construction management software including eBuilder, Oracle Unifier or Procore.
- Proficiency with MS Windows, Project, Word and Excel
- Clean driving record and background check
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication
