A leading NYC firm is seeking an International Tax Director to join its International Tax Group. This role focuses on managing complex inbound tax matters, providing strategic tax planning for multinational businesses and individuals, and ensuring compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies for foreign entities operating in the U.S.
- Advise on inbound investments, cross-border transactions, and tax treaties
- Oversee U.S. federal and state tax compliance, including Forms 1120-F, 5472, and FATCA/CRS reporting
- Analyze withholding tax and permanent establishment issues to minimize risks
- Lead and mentor a team of international tax professionals
- Act as the firm’s subject matter expert on all inbound international tax matters
- Drive business development initiatives, expanding client relationships and industry presence
Qualifications:
- 10 years of international tax experience, with a strong focus on inbound tax matters
- CPA, JD, or Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Expertise in U.S. international tax laws and compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and client advisory skills
- Experience with tax research software (CCH, RIA) and tax preparation tools
Compensation:
- Competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $250,000, based on experience
