Position Title: Litigation & Forensic Accounting Supervisor / Senior
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Compensation: $90,000 – $142,000 annually, based on experience
About the Opportunity:
Join a leading professional services firm as a Litigation & Forensic Accounting Supervisor / Senior, where you'll take charge of high-impact forensic and litigation support engagements. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in analyzing financial data for legal matters, conducting investigations, and supporting attorneys in complex financial disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage litigation support engagements from start to finish.
- Perform forensic accounting analyses, financial investigations, and damage calculations for litigation and dispute resolution.
- Review and interpret financial documents including financial statements, tax returns, contracts, and bank records to identify lost profits, economic damages, and potential fraud.
- Prepare expert reports, exhibits, document demands, and deposition questions.
- Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and deliver financial insights.
- Contribute to business valuations, fraud investigations, and other forensic advisory projects as needed.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional growth.
- Stay current with evolving accounting standards, litigation practices, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CPA candidate required.
Preferred Certifications:
- CFF, CFE, MAFF, ABV, CVA, or ASA.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in forensic accounting, litigation support, or a related consulting/public accounting environment.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and forensic/data analytics tools.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing expert reports and presenting findings.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and mentoring staff.
Salary : $90,000 - $142,000
