About the Role
The Tax Partner will serve in a senior leadership capacity, delivering strategic tax advisory and compliance services to financial services clients including private equity firms and funds. This role emphasizes client relationship management, business development, regulatory oversight, and mentoring of tax professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strong relationships with financial services clients.
- Deliver high-level tax advisory, planning, structuring, and compliance services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Monitor and communicate changes in tax legislation affecting clients.
- Oversee preparation and review of tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and develop a team of tax professionals.
- Identify business development opportunities; lead proposals and client pitches.
- Enhance firm visibility through networking, thought leadership, and industry events.
- Collaborate across departments on strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to long-term firm growth and direction.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA required.
- Experience:
- 10 years in tax with emphasis on financial services (private equity, hedge funds).
- Proven leadership and team development experience.
- Deep understanding of relevant tax laws and compliance.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- Technically proficient with tax software and Microsoft Office.
