he Tax Supervisor specializing in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) group here at Anchin is responsible for managing the tax compliance and reporting functions specific to the AEC industry. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, developing tax strategies, and providing guidance on tax-related matters. The Tax Supervisor will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize AEC clients’ tax position and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary:
- Supervise the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns specific to the AEC industry.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific tax regulations, including construction-specific tax issues.
- Manage tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and liaising with tax authorities.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures for the AEC group.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related financial information and maintain comprehensive records of all tax filings and transactions.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions for AEC clients.
- Identify tax incentives and credits applicable to the AEC industry and advise clients on their utilization.
- Stay updated on tax legislation and its implications for the AEC industry.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals while providing training and support to ensure the team’s professional growth and performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance within the AEC group.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
Experience:
- 4 years of experience in tax, with a focus on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $115,000 to $142,000 based on individual’s experience level.
