Whitmarsh is a CARF accredited agency that offers integrated Residential care for Adolescent and Young Men between the ages of 13 to 21 in our Adolescent Developemental Disabilites Program (ADDP) and our Bridge Program for Supervised Living (BPSL). Whitmarsh has a strong commitment to ensuring that all our residents are given the best care possible through compassion, guidance, and opportunity. Applicants will be working as a team, within the therapeutic milieu, in developing and maintaining a positive and safe treatment environment for our residents. We work with our residents to provide an opportunity to grow, have positive change, and further their life-skills.
Whitmarsh is now Hiring for Full-Time Residential Counselor who is available to work the following hours: 3:00pm - 11pm week days and weekends, 2nd shift and 1st on the week-ends** **(These are the required shifts for this position.)
Staffing activities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in daily living and independent living skills
- problem solving skills and social skills development
- educational advocacy
- self-care training
- behavioral management programming
- community integration programming
- job search training
- treatment planning
- case management
- transportation
- facilities management
- accompanying residents to the gym
- knowledge of nutrition and wellness (fitness) is preferred
All Residential Counselor Applicants must:
- Have a Bachelors level education in Psychology, Social work or similar fields or 3 or more years experience as a Residential Counselor role
- Have a valid driver's license and proof of Insurance
- Undergo a BCI/Fingerprinting check
- Own a reliable car with valid inspection
- Provide Motor Vehicle Report from Dept. of Motor Vehicles.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of computers, Google platform, and navigating the internet.
- Must be available for Quarterly Agency-Wide Training, House/Staff Meetings and regular supervision meetings
- Complete all required training such as Crisis Prevention (CPI) and CPR/First Aid
