Position Overview:

Whitney Management Corp. is looking for a Grounds Porter to join our team; This position will be responsible for the overall upkeep of the property landscape and the exterior image. Duties include cleaning of the driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior/interior hallways, or any other public areas; maintenance of property flowerbeds, plants, and grass areas; snow removal; and pool cleaning or routing pool maintenance. if that sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!

The successful candidate for this position will possess the skills and aptitude for the following tasks:

1. Develop a full understanding of company policies and the Employee Handbook.

2. Maintains grounds of property

3. Cleans grounds and removes pet litter.

4. Waters lawn and shrubs, if necessary

5. May repair fences, gates, walls, and walks, using carpentry and masonry tools.

6. May paint fences and outbuildings.

7. Inspect pool gates daily to ensure they are operational. If they are not in compliance, they must be chained shut and reported to the property manager and maintenance supervisor for necessary repairs.

8. Inspect entry access locations daily to ensure operational. If they are not in compliance, it must be reported to the property manager and maintenance supervisor for necessary repairs.

9. Must maintain pool, pool furniture and BBQ grills.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

1. Minimum 0-2 years of experience in field or related area.

2. Knowledge of the field’s commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.

3. Availability to work evenings and weekends according to business needs of the company.

4. Reliable transportation to and from job

5. Must be able to perform job without reasonable accommodations

6. Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community

7. Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook

8. Lift and carry up to 25lbs

9. Successfully pass both a criminal and drug screen testing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
