Position Overview:
Whitney Management Corp. is looking for a Leasing Agent/Consultant to join our team; This position will be responsible for the activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals. Interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy, including generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation, and completing move-in paperwork and procedures. The successful candidate for this position will possess the skills and aptitude for the following tasks:
- Develop a complete understanding of company policies and the Employee Handbook.
- Shows and leases apartments to prospective residents.
- Interviews prospective residents and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
- Accompanies prospects to apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, available facilities, such as swimming pool and fitness center locations, shopping centers, services available, lease terms, move-in dates, apartment availability, and final lease closing.
- Completes lease form or agreement and collects all units' rental deposit, application, and administrative fees.
- Inspect the condition of premises periodically and arrange for necessary maintenance; prepares and maintains model unit.
- Compile market surveys from competitive apartment communities.
- May compose flyers and advertisements.
- May contact the prospect’s prior residences and employers for verification of rental history and employment verification.
- Adheres to all Fair Housing requirements and all Oldham Goodwin Group leasing policies.
- Answer and address resident inquiries and issues; provides outstanding customer service.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends according to the company’s business needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.
- Knowledge of the industry’s commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends according to the company’s business needs.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job
- Must be able to perform the job without reasonable accommodations
- Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and whenever present at the community
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook
- Lift and carry up to 25lbs
- Successfully pass both a criminal and drug screen testing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
