About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Food Service Operations. This role will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the food nutrition / dining program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food-related products, as well as menu planning and development.
- Manage programs within established guidelines, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations and company policies.
- Train, motivate, and manage subordinate team members, providing guidance on tools and resources needed to perform tasks effectively.
- Act as client liaison and manager when the General Manager is not on premises, maintaining harmonious working relationships with team members.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health regulations and ordinances, preparing schools for state or local board of health inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or related field.
- Certifications: ServSafe Mandatory, local food safety certification if required; knowledge of local health and food safety ordinances.
- Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ability to communicate electronically through email and other computer platforms, and ability to learn new programs quickly.
