About the Opportunity
The Dining Services Coordinator will play a critical role in assisting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the food nutrition / dining program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food-related products, as well as menu planning and development.
- Manage programs within established guidelines, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations and company policies.
- Train, motivate, and manage subordinate team members, providing guidance on tools and resources needed to perform tasks effectively.
- Act as client liaison and manager when the General Manager is not on premises, maintaining harmonious working relationships with team members.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health regulations and ordinances, preparing schools for state or local board of health inspections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or related field.
- Certifications: ServSafe Mandatory, local food safety certification if required; knowledge of local health and food safety ordinances.
- Minimum 1 year experience in K-12 programs, strong interest in school nutrition program development.
