Job Title: Food Service Team Member
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Team Member to join our team at Whitsons Culinary Group. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food according to menus and in correct portion sizes, as well as performing cleaning duties and delivering food to staff, students, and catering events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food according to menus and in correct portion sizes
- Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing
- Brew coffee, fill beverage machines, set up hot and/or cold food area
- Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events
- Comply with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling
- Comply with all client location security protocols and guidelines
- Check and store incoming supplies
- Follow assigned break schedules
- Collect and strip trays for dishwashing and participate in ware washing if assigned
- Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.
- Participate on safety committee
- Attend all mandatory in-service programs
Work Environment:
The work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line. Standing most of the work day is required. Work requires movement in and out of store rooms and freezers. Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
