Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Performs cashiering duties, sanitation of the work station and maintains a professional and courteous manner with the customers.
- Retrieves morning in classroom meal counts and enters in Infinite Campus.
- Makes sure sheets are properly filled out and reports any discrepancies to Mary to get corrected.
- Insures all counts were properly entered by checking daily transaction report
- Set up the cashier area for daily customer service.
- Lunch time, double checks that all meals students are bringing to POS are in compliance with reimbursable meal standards.
- Acknowledge each customer by making eye contact as they move on the food line. Thank the customer after the transaction is made.
- Keep the cash register area clean and neat at all times.
- Follows and tracks students to allergy list to make sure students are not taking items that would cause a reaction.
- Checks with Kirk for daily prepping tasks and cleaning duties.
- Help set food items on trays in between lunch waves for incoming classes.
- Attends all training classes.
- Follows all company policies in accordance with Whitsons Handbook.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- High school diploma, math and accounting skills
- 3 years cashiering experience preferred.
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- Always present a positive and professional image.
- Basic English Reading and Writing Skills
- Able to Pass Background Screening
