What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker - Achievement First School Nutrition position at Whitsons Culinary Group?
Responsibilities:
- Helps to prep, cook and service Breakfast and Lunch by following recipes.
- Helps to set up, break down and wash all pots, pans and clean serving lines.
- Will receive, track and put away product deliveries.
- Sets up and mathematically tracks classroom delivered meals.
- Follows daily menu and records daily production on POR's.
- Will learn additional tasks, such as cashiering for cross training and filling in case of absentee's.
- Cleans, Sanitizes and Organizes equipment daily and rotates products as needed.
- Must be able to follow concise directions, show a willingness to learn and bring a positive attitude to the environment.
Hours are Monday- Friday, 6:00am -2:30 pm, with a half hour unpaid break for a total of 40 hours weekly.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- High school diploma, culinary certificate is a plus
- 5 years working in the Food Service Industry
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- Always present a positive and professional image.
- Basic English Reading and Writing Skills
- Able to Pass Background Screening
