Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to students in a safe and healthful manner. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, and adhering to state and federal health department regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food according to menus and yield guides.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and floors.
- Brew coffee, fill beverage machines, and set up food areas.
- Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events when necessary.
- Comply with health department requirements and client location security protocols.
- Check and store incoming supplies.
- Follow assigned break schedules.
- Collect and strip trays for dishwashing and participate in ware washing if assigned.
- Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.
- Participate on safety committee and attend mandatory in-service programs.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Must complete all Whitsons training as necessary.
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- 1 year professional food service experience preferred.
