- Qualifications
- Previous playing and/or coaching experience at high school and/or college level
- Knowledge of Track and Field and the essentials
- Be able to create practice plans for every practice
- CPR Certification or willing to become CPR certified
- Performance Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the sport to be coached
- Encourage athletes to excel in academic work
- Oversee the safety conditions of the area when the team is practicing
- Work as a team member of the coaching staff
- Establish an effective relationship with parents
- Attend all practices and games
- Be a positive role model to the athletes
- Display self-control and maintain a positive relationship with officials
