Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the overall safety of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to ensure comprehensive coverage of the facility.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
- Enforce rules and regulations set forth by the organization while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Provide first aid or CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and surveillance technology.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous but not required.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying unusual behavior or potential threats.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
