SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position reports directly to the Supervisor of Human Resources. This position provides skilled administrative support for the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. This position’s realm of responsibility includes every component of Human Resources Management, i.e. Recruitment, Employment, Benefits, Staff Development, Performance Evaluation and HRIS Administration. This position provides administrative support for the credentialing and verification of licensure for medical and clinical employees.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate forms and reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Recruitment:
- Assembles and distributes application packets, maintains files, records and forms related to recruitment activities, request references from selected job applicants.
- Maintains and distributes Job Postings, New Hire and Termination Reports.
- Upon request, coordinates job fair participation, contacts various career centers and employment agencies, if needed.
Employment:
- Initiates the CORI background checks and the online license and certification verifications for applicable employees.
- Initiates and administers the credentialing application process for providers.
- Prepares and distributes employment offer letters and employment non-selection letters, upon instruction.
- Initiates, monitors and maintains the pre-employment physicals process and files for new employees.
- Assists with the coordination, implementation and presentation of the Administrative Orientation, the monthly New Employee Orientation and ensures the documentation of Department Orientation for new employees.
- Processes new hire personnel forms and enter new hires into the HRIS system.
- Processes all personnel action changes; prepares status change letters and ensures entry into the HRIS system.
Benefits:
- Orients new employees to benefits programs, assist with completing forms and sign-ups; ensures new employees are enrolled in employer-paid insurance and long-term disabilities programs; and ensures employees who have been employed for a year, are signed-up for the pension program.
- Maintains working relationship with benefit vendors and customer service representatives; assists employees in resolving benefit issues and processes all benefit changes.
- Assists with Open Enrollments and maintains benefit materials and forms.
- Reviews and reconciliates benefit invoices and employee census rosters.
- Assists in maintaining worker’s compensation 3rd Party reporting procedure.
Credentialing
- Assists in the organizing and directing of a comprehensive and specialized credentialing program to assure continued accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization) and other regulatory organizations.
- Oversees the credentialing and the verification process for medical staff, allied health professionals and other certified/licensed clinical professionals.
- Monitors and revises credentialing forms as needed and ensures maintenance of medical staff and allied health staff files.
Training, Performance Evaluations and Employee Events:
- Assists with planning and orchestrating employee events including All Staff Quarterly Meetings, Employee Recognition Event, Diversity Luncheon, Summer Event and other events as assigned.
- Maintains training documentation system and processes tuition reimbursement requests and assists with training logistics.
- Processes 90 day reviews, annual performance appraisals and tracks, prepares and distributes late performance appraisal reports and notification
Administrative:
- Oversees all HRIS information data entries and reports.
- Oversees and maintains credentialing software program.
- Maintains personnel files and other confidential files; coordinates file reviews, audits, and inspections.
- Maintains employee Parking Program.
- Maintains Staff bulletin boards.
- Orders and maintains office supplies.
- Receives and screens telephone calls, responds to internal and external inquiries, greets department visitors.
- Performs other duties as requested.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
