What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Teacher position at Whiz Kidz Academy?
Duties:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including language arts, math, science, and social studies
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and facilitate their understanding of the material
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and educational best practices
- Experience working with students in a classroom or educational setting
- Familiarity with theater, daycare, Christian counseling, babysitting, behavior management, tutoring, or sports coaching is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities
