Job Description Summary:

As a Chiropractic Physician at this clinic, you will report directly to Dr. Gleaves. This position works closely with Dr. Gleaves, as well as Licensed Chiropractic Assistants and additional support staff. You will assist with executing a high volume, high quality treatment approach where patients receive proper care according to their individualized plans.

There will be a large variety of patients and a wide adjusting base you may treat. This includes patients 2 days old to patients who are 90 years old. You will work in a high volume practice which requires a wide range of skills for various styles of conditions. Patients are cared for in a variety of ways whether it is wellness visits, expansive examinations, strength and development, adjustments, pediatric examinations, and treatment for injuries.

In addition to treating inside the clinic walls, Whole Body Health is extremely active in Lebanon, OR and the local community. As a member of the team, it will be important to be present at local events to maintain strong relationships and partnerships. The clinic currently dedicates their time to the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, and sponsors events and organizations such as the Strawberry Festival 5K, racecars at the Willamette Speedway, Lebanon Swim Team, and the Sweet Home OHSET.

It will be important to participate and engage as a doctor in this clinic and support educating Lebanon, OR about accessible healthcare. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and taking and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.

• Facilitate expansive examinations to support patients based on history consultation, functional movement screen, range of motion assessment, orthopedic testing, neurological exam, and cranial nerve examination.

• Treat trauma and motor vehicle accidents, ATV accidents, sports injury, sports rehabilitation, post injury and back to work rehabilitation while utilizing x-ray imaging.

• Service during daily visits unrelated to direct pain including sinus drainage, inflammation release, fatigue, allergy symptoms, symptoms of depression or anxiety, and digestive stress.

• Support strength and development as patients focus on rehabilitation of postural strength, knees, hip, feet, carpal tunnel symptoms, shoulder pain, shoulder impediment, rotator cuff, and elbow injuries. 

• Conduct extensive pediatric examinations and offer a variety of treatments for digestive struggles, latching complications, and imbalanced structure utilizing treatment styles such as manual therapy, diversified, and activator techniques.

• Educate patients on the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care.

• Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.

• Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to correct the musculoskeletal system.

• Maintain accurate case histories of patients.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Doctorate of Chiropractic
• Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program
• Current license as a chiropractor in the state of Oregon
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
