About Us

Whole Child Collective is a small, evidence-based child psychology practice that provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment to children through college age youth in Lake Oswego, OR. We are collaborative, professional, and supportive and our goal is to provide positive, focused and comprehensive services to our valued patients and their families. We provide evidence-based evaluations (i.e., psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental testing for ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety / depression, twice exceptional and SAT / ACT accommodations), evidence-based therapy (including, but not limited to : behavioral pediatrics, exposure and response prevention for OCD, CBIT for Tics / Tourette’s, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Parent Management Training for children and teens), all under one roof. We coordinate care with pediatricians, schools, learning specialists, and other medical professionals.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Child / Adolescent)

Whole Child Collective is seeking 2 talented and team-oriented individuals to fill the Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Child / Adolescent) positions in our Lake Oswego office to add to our current team. Knowledge and prior experience working in the medical environment with children & adolescents and / or a private practice setting is preferred.

Clinical Psychologist Job Responsibilities (2 positions are available, with an opportunity to blend both therapy and evaluative services, or the option to focus on solely treatment or evaluations) :

Psychotherapy Position :

  • Conducts individual psychotherapy, including specialized treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT and interventions for anxiety such as exposure and response prevention techniques.
  • Applicants do not need to have experience with all these modalities, as we use a wide variety of evidence-based intervention and training can be provided.
  • Provides evidence-based treatment for children and teens (i.e., behavioral pediatrics, helping parents & children with challenges such as tantrums, toileting, depression, anxiety, school refusal, picky eating, etc.)
  • Consults with pediatricians, prescribers, school personnel / learning specialists and clinics regarding patient care.
  • Writes treatment plans for patients that are easily understood and backed by evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in meetings at the clinic to discuss patient care and evidence-based practice
  • Participates in training programs as a supervisor for trainees and unlicensed staff (i.e., doctoral students at various times of the year provide therapy as well).
  • This is not required, but desired capacity for someone who enjoys training / mentoring.
  • Evaluation Position :

  • Conducts evaluations for youth ages 6 through college age for a variety of concerns, including, but not limited to : Autism. ADHD, anxiety / depression, OCD, learning disorders, Twice Exceptional / Giftedness, and more.
  • Experience in all of these areas is not necessary.
  • Collaborates with Master's level Occupational Therapist in our practice to provide multidisciplinary autism evaluations (ADOS-2)
  • Collaboration opportunities with 3 other licensed psychologists in our office who provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment (referrals within our practice are often made for specific presenting concerns throughout the course of therapy / treatment, as well as many outside referral partners)
  • Access to testing materials provided by our office, as well as platforms and subscriptions such as Q-Interactive, among other measures, for convenient testing and scoring
  • Work Hours and Benefits :

    Psychotherapist position : Seeking a candidate who is able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week providing patient care for the psychotherapist position. The position is flexible and a clinician may elect to work as many hours as desired beyond 15 hours / week. Additional bonuses are available for clinicians who desire to work more than 20 hours / week. General clinic hours are between Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm, with therapy services extending beyond 5pm several days per week. Weekend hours are also available for clinicians and patients who prefer to have this option. For licensed clinical psychologists providing therapy, we are seeking someone who is available to work two early evenings per week. There is flexibility with which days and hours are chosen (i.e., which days clinicians choose to work later hours or come in later.) Services occur in our office and there is an opportunity to provide telehealth, yet many of our patients appreciate being in-person for therapy.

    Evaluator position : Seeking a candidate who is able to conduct a minimum of 2 comprehensive evaluations per month, with the opportunity for additional evaluations as much as desired.

    This position does not include health insurance or other benefits at this time.

    Clinical Psychologist Qualifications / Skills :

  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements :

  • PsyD or PhD in clinical psychology
  • Hold a full and active license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Oregon. Preference is given to those who do not have and ethical or legal findings against their license
  • Internship and / or postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology or pediatric psychology
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an outpatient setting such as : children's hospital, primary care medical clinics, private practice or group practice with children / adolescents, or an inpatient consultation / liaison role at a children's hospital or clinic
