We have full-time opportunities to provide speech therapy services at our outpatient clinic in Claremont, CA.

Salary:
Hourly Rate: $29.00 to $37.00 /hour, based on years of pediatric experience
Paid at same rate for cancellations/no-shows
1 hour paid plan time daily

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at our clinic, you will play a crucial role in helping children reach their full potential through therapeutic interventions and activities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric clients.
  • Assist in conducting therapy sessions and implementing appropriate techniques and strategies.
  • Help children develop speech and language skills through engaging activities and exercises.
  • Provide support during assessments and screenings, documenting client progress and observations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on therapy progress and home-based strategies.
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and certified occupational therapy assistants to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
  • A passion for working with children and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple cases and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of pediatric patients.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Previous experience in pediatric speech therapy or relevant fieldwork experience is preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.
