Dog Daycare Attendant

Whole Dogz is an all organic doggie daycare, boarding, grooming and retail spot.

We want our staff to enjoy their jobs and this can be a part time or full time position - especially if you are in college --no high school please. Our daycare staff has a daily set of activities to perform with dogs and are responsible for their health and wellbeing. We don't cram dogs into our daycare rooms either- our rooms are one of the largest around and we separate by small, medium and large size dogs.

PLEASE READ: We have two shifts every day: the AM shift is from 6am until roughly 2-2:30 pm, and the PM shift is from 1pm until close (roughly 8:30-10:00pm). We have openings for both shifts, and are looking to fill shifts each day of the week. IMPORTANT: At least one weekend shift per week is REQUIRED.

This job can be a real joy for dog lovers, but you must understand that it takes dedication to earn the love and respect of the dogs in our care. We require all staff to take an online learning video and to utilize the skills that are taught. We have a very loyal client base and high standards for the dogs we take care of.

Job duties are as follows:

• Paying attention to dog behavior and play at all times, breaking up rough play and correcting inappropriate behaviors.
• Keeping the dogs engaged through a set of provided activities and proactive intervention.
• Cleaning up after the dogs on the daycare floor and maintaining a sanitary environment
• Helping take boarding dogs outside at the beginning/end of the shift
• Helping clean daycare rooms and other areas of the facility
• Assisting other staff with their duties. We are all team players!
• Learning all aspects of the business to help you move up
