Veterinary Technician/Assistant
Whole Health Veterinary Care is seeking applications for a Licensed Veterinary Technician and/or an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our new practice. The position will range from $17 to $25 per hour based on experience and licensure.
We are looking for:
Part-time - Monday & Friday only with an occasional Saturday
Full-Time - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday with an occasional Saturday

Veterinary Technician and/or Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, and complying with legal regulations.
- Provides animal care by conducting initial intake & client interviews.
- Takes vital signs and collects diagnostic samples.
- Maintains medical records using our designated software.
- Supports animal examinations by assembling required supplies and instruments.
- Completes laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Performs diagnostic procedures under direct supervision of Veterinarian.
- Administers medications, drugs, vaccines, and wound care under direct supervision of Veterinarian.
- Prepares surgery suite and assists Veterinarian during surgeries.
- Coordinates inventory of supplies and equipment with Veterinary Administrative Professional & Office Manager.
- Liaising with courier services and laboratories to ensure that samples are delivered and collected on time.
Education Qualifications / Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Completion of an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited program preferred:
- Certificate of Veterinary Assistant
- State License to practice as a Veterinary Technician
- 3 years of experience within a veterinary or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of animal behavior, and animal husbandry.
- Clinical skills & use of medical technologies.
- Analyzing information & medical documentation skills.
- Attention to detail & technical understanding.
- Patient & professional verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work shifts, on weekends, and on public holidays, as needed.
