Whole Life, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the state of CT. We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care and support to a single individual with I/DD in our In- Home -Support Program located in Windham.
Looking for Part Time Direct Support Professionals. Below are three positions we are recruiting for:
1. Wednesday 8am-2pm (This is one position, 6 hours/week)
2.Monday-Friday 9a-2p (This is another position, 25 hours per week)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must be comfortable working with individuals with different abilities,
- Pass a background check.
- Has a vehicle /insurance
However, will train the right candidates as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and secure environment at home, using a wide variety of skills including providing personal care services such as: meal preparation, light housekeeping such as laundry, bedside care, etc. Assists clients in self-care as needed for activities such as eating, dressing, toileting, transports etc. Taking individuals out into the community for events. Performs other duties as assigned.
