About the Role
The role is focused on the core of our company´s business – in close co-operation with the Sales Director, whom the role reports to, to be responsible for all sales activities of your team. The main focus in your daily activities will be to drive sales on a detail as well as overall level. This includes managing sales performance, reviewing progress on KPIs and quality in the designs of each sales team member, as well as substantial customer communication (mainly customer service escalations, but also some own sales activity). As the success of the team rests on the people, you are an integral part of hiring, development and termination of team members and work closely with applicable resources to constantly develop their knowledge and skills. Communication and problem solving with our key vendors as well as other departments (particularly customer service and marketing) are also important aspects of the role.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role several important traits are required:
- Passion for sales: You are on fire. Nothing is impossible. You are a true competitive spirit who never gives up and targets are for you the starting point, not the end. You have a true hunger for closing and enjoy competing with yourself to constantly break new records in your team’s sales. You realize that the key to better performance is selling more through an increase in the number of leads through tight co-operation with the rest of our team who drives marketing and brand awareness, but also selling smarter - increasing your team´s closing rate and order volume by constantly honing their sales skills.
- Being a strong leader and a team player: You have the experience and stamina to drive results and you understand that the best leadership is a good example. You have a contagious optimism and you know how to celebrate your victories as well as helping your team members get out of a tough spot. You are equally comfortable with contributing to the creation of a new sales strategy as with making the travel plans for the next team get together and you enjoy digging into numbers to find patterns in the individual and collective sales performance as much as you do talking to customers and listening in on the calls of your team members to help them grow.
- Strong work ethic: Deadlines and KPIs are holy. One of our key selling points is fast design turnarounds. You understand that the faster you and the team deliver what the customers require, the more you sell, and you find a lot of joy in this process. You constantly seek ways to become more efficient. Sometimes you have a 40 hour work week, sometimes 60. You are equally happy for both, but maybe a little happier for the latter.
- An understanding for the importance of creativity: The first step toward gaining the sale is to give the customers a “Wow!” experience. You tirelessly perfect your own and your team´s skills in designing kitchens which are stunning in their value to price ratio and you approach each customer request as a canvas waiting for the magic to happen. You are also creative in seeking solutions to customer requests – you find a way to solve every problem and enjoy doing it.
- Dedication: You are not just looking for a job – you are looking for a lifestyle. You are passionate about what you do and see a greater purpose in being part of the development of a great company. You work with a true drive to constantly beat your own and the team´s sales figures.
- Independence: Most of the team members in the company are remotely based. You are fully comfortable with driving your team toward constant improvements and growth and continuing to build a world class culture remotely.
- Analytical ability: You understand that the difference between an idea and a good idea is in the analysis. You are efficient in creating and presenting analyses built on large quantities of information in a simple and understandable way.
- Thoroughness: In our industry where everything is built on SKU numbers and dimensions in inches, one wrong number is equally bad as all numbers being wrong. A spelling error can destroy the best of customer communication. You are thorough about the way you communicate, and you are proud of it.
Of course, you are well versed in the basics of the MS Office suite. Prior experience of the cabinets industry is not a requirement, but experience of cabinets design or sales or experience of related industries (countertops, interior design) is strongly beneficial. You are fluent in English in speech and writing.
The position offers a unique chance to have an important role in the fast-growing market for kitchen and bathroom cabinets and a strong opportunity for personal growth within the company over time. We offer a competitive base salary, bonus and benefits – the earnings potential is high!
