Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the showroom and assess their needs to provide personalized assistance.
- Build relationships with customers by understanding their projects and offering tailored recommendations.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the full range of products in plumbing, electrical, lighting, kitchen, and bath categories.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, innovations, and technologies in the home improvement industry.
- Sales Support:
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their design preferences, budget, and technical requirements.
- Provide detailed product information, including specifications, features, benefits, and installation guidance.
- Prepare and present accurate quotes and estimates to customers.
- Design Consultation:
- Offer design advice and recommendations, helping customers visualize their projects using available tools and resources.
- Work with customers to create design plans that align with their aesthetic preferences and functional needs.
- Order Processing:
- Assist customers with placing orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in order entries.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Showroom Maintenance:
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing, ensuring all displays are up to date.
- Arrange products in a way that highlights their features and creates an engaging shopping experience.
- Customer Service:
- Provide post-sale support, including follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or questions.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
- Sales Goals:
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Track personal sales performance and work proactively to improve sales techniques.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other sales associates, designers, and the management team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new products, promotions, and company policies.
- Marketing and Events:
- Assist in planning and executing showroom events, promotions, and product demonstrations.
- Promote showroom offerings through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Must pass drug test
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong product knowledge and technical aptitude related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC supplies.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy products.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in order processing.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
