Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and reliable Tractor Trailer Driver to transport tires and related products to various client locations. The ideal candidate will ensure on-time delivery and maintain excellent customer service standards while adhering to all safety and transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Goods: Safely operate a tractor trailer to deliver tire products to retail locations, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adjusting for traffic, weather, and road conditions.
- Loading/Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of tires, ensuring secure and organized storage within the trailer.
- Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring that all safety equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery reports using electronic logging devices.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service during delivery, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety, traffic, and transportation regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record as well as a medical card.
- Experience: Minimum [2] years of experience driving a tractor trailer, preferably in the tire or wholesale industry.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) & withstand extended hours of driving.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with delivery logistics, local routes, and electronic logging devices.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
