Wholey's Market, 1711 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh's historic Strip District is celebrating 112 years in business and is seeking a candidate for a Department Manager. The ideal candidate will have at a minimum 2 years of Grocery/Retail work experience. Attention to detail is paramount, as is a knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Complete product orders working with several national and local vendors based upon usage, movement reports, holiday and seasonal needs and daily operations.
- Replenish, face, and rotate product, build, change, and take down product displays, maintain product signage and maintain clean product shelf space.
- Take an active role in building the store's product assortment.
- Record customer requests for new items and work closely with vendors to review new product line offering and pricing.
- Prepare and complete monthly physical inventories of all department products.
- Check and update pricing daily using proprietary developed inventory applications and processes.
- Update and confirm that the pricing of all products is set at approved margins to ensure profitability, needs, flow product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment.
- Properly handle products with equipment such as electric and manual floor jacks, u-boats, and ladders in accordance with safety and workplace safety guidelines.
- Providing exceptional and first-rate customer service by being a lead by example leader, with a consistent drive to educate and to go above and beyond our customers, vendors, and fellow employees' expectations.
- Support and work with other store departments by being willing and able to back up and assist them as business needs dictate. TEAMWORK!!!
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends.
- Schedule one clerk according to business needs.
- Record all shrink, waste, expired, and damaged items per vendor, maintain accurate shrink login and work with vendors to receive credits.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
