Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for creation and reporting of projects and programs within the merchant team ensuring these projects align with the business goals. The Project Manager will support the merchant team through concept generation and execution for all merchant related projects. They will be a key member of the merchant team working with stakeholders across the entire business to ensure projects are landed on time, within budget and delivering on the metrics set out in the project plan.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the commercial team through priority merchant related projects.
- Working closely with cross functional teams (merch, planning, visual marketing, D&C, facilities, store operations, legal, finance, etc.) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets the company's expectations
- Schedule, manage and present project kickoffs & weekly project updates
- Level set scope of work and track the progress of each project from conception, development, and implementation
- Coordinate and manage tasks of the project, assign and allocate project resources, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met
- Maintain project documentation and files such as weekly updates, meeting minutes, project plans, critical paths, business cases, and contracts.
- Communicate project progress and updates to key stakeholders, effectively present project objectives, tasks, and resource responsibilities.
- Identify and mitigate risks, escalate issues to the business executive leadership
- Identify project costs and monitor budget, and analyze financial data that relate to the project
- Other Duties may be assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Project Management certifications a plus
- Minimum of 1-2 years as a project manager or 3-4 years in a coordinator role
- Basic understanding of the project management principles
- Familiar with project management tools such as SmartSheets, Asana, and Microsoft Loop, also Jira, DevOps, and monday.com is a plus
- Ability to navigate Microsoft tools; Teams, Outlook, Loop, etc
