What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Data Specialist position at Wi-Tron?
The Master Data Specialist is responsible for the following : maintaining a database of item parameters and ensuring our Automated Material Handling systems handle the items properly. The Master Data Specialist will constantly be monitoring and addressing changes in items to maintain database accuracy and serve as the key point of contact for employees experiencing issues with items.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain data associated with approximately 5000 different items as well as setup of new items.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Adjust machinery specifications / modes of operation to allow for more efficient handling of items.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with staff.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Develop new strategies and procedures to increase efficiency and enhance workflow.
- Coordinate with other departments and offer suggestions for possible upgrades and changes.
- Submit reports that outline changes made to items.
- Other task as assigned.
