Now Hiring: Department Leader – Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce
Lead Boldly. Sell Passionately. Build a Thriving Downtown.

At the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, we don’t just support business—we champion it. We believe strong communities are built on thriving entrepreneurs, bold ideas, and the kind of leadership that finds joy in the success of others. Under transformative leadership we are stepping into a new era—one that prioritizes revenue growth, team collaboration, and a renewed focus on revitalizing our community.

To help us lead the way, we’re looking for a Leader who is equal parts sales champion, community builder, and servant leader. If you’re energized by closing deals, strengthening business, and watching others rise—you might just be the perfect fit.

About the Role

This is a frontline leadership role responsible for growing Chamber revenue, expanding membership, and supporting business growth across the Wichita Falls region.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with local entrepreneurs, property owners, and community stakeholders to breathe life into our business districts. You’ll also build strong relationships with existing members and new investors, helping connect them to resources, opportunities, and each other.

This is a role for a connector, a doer, and a collaborator who believes the best way to lead is to serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new revenue through strategic member recruitment, sponsorships, events, and investor partnerships.
  • Lead efforts to grow and support businesses.
  • Develop a pipeline of new businesses and investors aligned with the Chamber’s growth priorities.
  • Build and maintain authentic relationships with business leaders, city partners, developers, and entrepreneurs.
  • Collaborate across the Chamber team—ensuring alignment, communication, and shared wins.
  • Represent the Chamber at key events, roundtables, and community conversations.
  • Support internal operations, strategic planning, and team development with focus and integrity.

Who You Are

  • A sales-minded leader with a history of delivering results and creating lasting relationships.
  • A servant leader who gets energy from seeing others succeed—and knows that lifting others is the path to true leadership.
  • A natural collaborator—you thrive in a team environment, celebrate collective wins, and never believe success is a solo sport.
  • An effective communicator who’s confident, engaging, and approachable in any setting.
  • Someone who blends grit, grace, and growth mindset—you don’t back down from challenges, and you don’t stop until the job is done.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales, business development, fundraising, or investor relations.
  • Experience working in or alongside economic development, chambers of commerce, or membership-based organizations.
  • Strong understanding of urban development, downtown revitalization, or small business ecosystems.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and productivity tools.
  • Passion for Wichita Falls—or a strong desire to become one of its biggest advocates.

What You Can Expect

  • Competitive salary.
  • Health, dental, vision insurance, and a strong retirement plan.
  • A high-impact role with the chance to shape the future of our region.
  • A collaborative, energizing culture with abundant opportunities for mentorship and growth.
  • A purpose-driven team that believes in working hard, celebrating big, and lifting one another higher every day.

This isn’t just a job. This is your opportunity to help shape a city.
If you believe in the power of connection, the value of community vibrancy, and the joy of serving others through sales, we’d love to meet you.

Let’s make Wichita Falls the best place to live, work, build, and belong. Together.
