Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- On the job training to learn all aspects of the position
- Provide exceptional patient care in all areas of the office
- Prepare patients for exams by completing pre-testing, obtaining patient chief complaint, medical history and verification of medications.
- Accurately perform diagnostic testing for patients including visual fields, OCTs, topography, fundus photography, external photography, specular microscopy and other testing as ordered by our doctors.
- After mastering working up patients and diagnostic testing, you will learn to scribe for doctors in the exam rooms
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Comply with HIPAA regulations
Job Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with patients and ensure accurate documentation in patients' records
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced work environment
- Typing skills
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Background in any healthcare setting is beneficial, but not required
Physical Demand:
- Ability to life 25 pounds on occasion
- Frequently required to stand, walk and sit
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
