The W. Frank Barton School of Business invites applications for a full-time, 9-month position in accounting. This is a non-tenure position. With outstanding undergraduate and graduate programs, the School of Accounting is home to excellent students. We combine an in-depth study of accountancy with broad exposure to all aspects of business and management—equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for career advancement, or a career switch, in the public or private sector. This position will start for the semester Fall 2025

Job Summary
Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels using various instructional deliveries (e.g., traditional (face-to-face), hybrid, and fully online). To foster applied learning into the course design and engage with industry and local business community applied projects. To advance knowledge through scholarly activities (e.g., active involvement in committees, student mentorship, recruitment and retention initiative, outreach activities, etc.)
Essential Functions

Job Duties
Candidate will be conducting accounting classes. Load will be 4 classes each semester. The total load will consist of 12 credit hours of courses each semester. Classes will be held online and in person or combination.
Near term, the candidate will be conducting intermediate level financial accounting and intermediate level managerial accounting. Longer term, the candidate may be expected to contribute to other areas such as tax, audit, and data analytics.
Additionally, candidate will be a faculty advisor for the accounting student group, Beta Alpha Psi. Candidate will be in charge of implementing an accounting summer boot camp for high-schoolers in the area.
Required Education and Experience:
- Graduate level degree or Equivalent Experience in the Field
- Teaching experience
Faculty Requirements
Qualified candidates must hold a master’s degree in accounting or a closely related area.
Teaching &/or training experience in Accounting, or related subjects
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Training &/or teaching effectiveness
- Ability to convey complex information to learners in an effective manner. Technical aptitude
