Job Summary
Performs a variety of routine diagnostic and/or analytic testing of laboratory specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
Essential Functions
Performs routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Verifies analytic accuracy, sensitivity and references ranges for test methods. Assists with data collection and special projects as assigned. Assists in documentation and submission of all required laboratory, department and staff statistics and/or reports. Practices safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations. Serves as a resource to other staff as needed. Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field of science
Required License/Certifications/Training
ASCP or equivalent required

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, in verbal, written, and interpersonal formats, with internal and external customers.

Physical Requirements
