Job Summary
Receives, logs, stores, prepares and transfers biological specimens.
Essential Functions
Documents specimens received by maintaining daily logs and associating records with patient accounts Prepares specimens for diagnostics or other analysis while maintaining positive patient identification Transfers, handles, and stores delicate or hazardous specimens appropriately Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests Assists with data collection or special projects as assigned
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements
Ability to use tools, equipment, and technology necessary to do the job. This includes dexterity in instrument manipulation.
