Nature of Work :
Responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team to establish long and short range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Directs the formulation of budgets, financial forecasts, and other financial strategies. Directs the sales / marketing and business development efforts of the company. Provides leadership to key staff and serves as the model for developing the culture of the organization. The CEO also serves as a member of the Board of
Directors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Education and Experience :
Five years minimum top management experience in communications industry. General newspaper knowledge a must, but career-long newspaper experience is second to leadership experience, foresight, and new revenue development. Experience of building non-traditional newspaper / advertising revenue streams from digital and event revenues would be beneficial. Should have a full understanding of corporate finance including financial reporting, forecasting and bank compliance.
