Responsibilities
- Enforce all Wicked Barley company policies
- Manage FOH staff; provide support and opportunity for continuous, constructive feedback and
education; hire, train, coach and take corrective action as needed
- Execute training programs and initiatives to foster team-building, recognition and professionalism between employees
- Maintain inventory of FOH product -- beer, wine, supplies, merchandise, etc.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food/product safety and brand alignment
- Protect guest and employee well-being through effective safety and risk management
- Administer cash handling, payroll reporting and scheduling
- Guide employees and engage with customers throughout service
- Maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with neighbors, vendors and industry
personnel
- Resolve employee and customer problems, and respond in a timely manner to all escalated
customer service issues
- Communicate effectively with colleagues in other leadership departments
- Meet regularly with ownership, GM and leadership team
- Provide regular reports to company ownership/leadership
- Aid in execution of onsite events
- Ensure strong communication flow between Wicked Barley’s management and staff
- Assist in executing occasional off-site events
- Assist in managing of other retail locations as needed
- Cover employee shifts in case of emergency staffing needs
- Comfortable reviewing monthly P&L statements and determining actions to address deviations
from plan
- Managing labor and food costs
- Manage the budget, administer payroll, and ensure operations remain within budget
- Vendor review and management
Required Experience
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 years experience as a Manager of high-volume bar/restaurant with a focus on superior customer service, high quality beer and food preferred, but will consider applicants with other hospitality management experience
- Basic knowledge of Craft Beer
- Experience working for a growing bar or restaurant group, or brewery is a plus

- Must have a passion for beer and the growing craft beer industry
- Strong understanding of craft beer and how to manage and train staff on new styles is required
- A strong understanding of beer production, quality, service, styles, current industry trend and history is great, but willingness and desire to learn is more important
- ServSafe required
- Food Safety Management certification and Alcohol Safety certification (approved by ANSI preferred
Expected Hours of Work
- 40-50 Hours per week, with occasional 50 hour weeks
- Will generally work a regular, 5-day schedule (inclusive of days, nights, and weekends), but must be flexible to react to the needs of the business on a week-to-week basis
