We are looking for hard-working and efficient Bussers/Barbacks to join our team at a high-volume sports bar. As a Busser/Barback, you will play a crucial support role, ensuring that the bar and dining areas run smoothly by keeping everything clean, stocked, and organized, especially during peak hours and busy game nights.
Key Responsibilities
- Quickly and efficiently clear tables, removing dirty dishes, glasses, and utensils to maintain a clean dining area.
- Wipe down tables, bar tops, and seating areas to prepare for new guests.
- Assist servers by resetting tables and ensuring they are properly stocked with napkins, silverware, and condiments.
- Stock bar areas with glassware, ice, garnishes, and other necessary supplies to ensure bartenders can work efficiently.
- Refill drink stations, ice bins, and restock inventory (beer, liquor, mixers) as needed throughout service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including removing trash, cleaning spills, and organizing storage.
- Assist with bar preparation before and after service, ensuring all bar tools and supplies are ready.
- Support the bartenders and servers with any additional tasks, including delivering drinks or food to tables as needed.
- Monitor and maintain restroom cleanliness during shifts.
- Stay responsive to guest needs, addressing any requests or assisting with special arrangements when necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as a busser, barback, or in a similar support role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, especially during sports events or peak times.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent teamwork skills, working closely with bartenders, servers, and other staff to ensure smooth service.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (ice buckets, cases of beer, etc.) and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing demands and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.
- Basic understanding of bar operations and drink preparation is a plus but not required.
