The Town of Wickenburg Police Department is seeking dedicated and qualified candidates for the position of Police Recruit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team committed to public safety and community service. Salary: $30.37 - $36.44 per hour, depending on qualifications (DOQ) and depending on experience (DOE) Hiring Process: STEP 1 | National Testing Network. All candidates will register on the National Testing Network (NTN), schedule and complete the Law Enforcement test.STEP 2 | AZPOST. Create an account with the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZPOST) application and complete an application.STEP 3 | Town of Wickenburg Application. Successful candidates will be invited to complete the Peace Officer Physical Aptitude Test (POPAT) (Non-Gender, Non-Age).STEP 5 | Oral Board Interview. Qualified applicants will be invited to an Oral Board Interview. STEP 6 | Background Interview & Investigation. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by a police department background investigator via email, mail, and/or telephone to be scheduled for a background interview. STEP 7 | Polygraph. The most qualified applicants will be given a polygraph examination (lie detector test) administered by a trained, professional examiner. STEP 8 | Psychological. Applicants will be evaluated by a licensed psychologist.STEP 9 | Medical Examination.
