Job Overview
We are seeking an all around hand to help build our beef business. This coordinator will help manage inventory at the freezer space in Bozeman, and assist (as needed) with operational, sales and marketing activities, such as value-added product development (e.g. beef tallow), staffing customer order pick up hours, and packing orders. Applicants should have a genuine interest in building a local small business, Montana's local food community, agriculture, and sales and marketing. The ideal candidate is physically able to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds), personable, customer service oriented, detailed, and self motivated.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate weekly with the Wickens Ranch Beef sales and marketing lead.
- Work together to sell cuts that are high in supply, and note low stock items.
- Unload and organize monthly deliveries of frozen beef.
- Run quality control inventory checks on products.
- Manage customer pick ups.
- Manage inventory using a spreadsheet.
- Assist with packing large wholesale and online store orders.
- Assist with production of value added products at the commissary kitchen in Bozeman.
- Assist with Gallatin Valley Farmers' Markets.
Requirements
- Has his/her own vehicle
- Lives in or within 30 miles of Bozeman, MT
- Great team player and proactive communicator.
- Proficient with software like Google Drive, Google Sheets, and willingness to learn essential tasks in Shopify.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a very cold freezer environment.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes, as much as 50 lb
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
