We are currently seeking a skilled AFS Precision Farming Technician to join our team! This exciting and rewarding position can be based at any of our five dealership locations in Fort Collins, Fort Morgan, Greeley, Longmont, or Sterling, Colorado. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in offering guidance, expertise, and training for Case IH AFS and various other third-party Precision Ag solutions. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the integration of Precision Ag practices while collaborating with all departments within the dealership to promote and provide exceptional support for precision farming products and services.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as a technical specialist relative to all precision farming products offered.
  • Assist in executing a plan to ensure ongoing precision farming mainstreaming across all departments.
  • Work regularly with the sales team to develop potential client improvements per specific farming operation.
  • Promote and support mycaseih.com, utilizing wireless data and data management within the Connect Account.
  • Help support business consulting and data management services to customers.
  • Develop and deliver internal and external training for precision farming products, including Case IH data/technology solutions and advanced farming solution options.
  • Provide on-farm auto guidance training and calibration services.
  • Provide technical assistance for machine-down issues like identifying the “root cause” of customer issues and identifying failed components.
  • Provide “Follow-up After the Sale” for all AFS components.
  • Support and perform OEM and 3rd party auto guidance installations.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Precision Ag degree preferred.
  • Experience in Agriculture, Agronomy, Farming, Heavy Equipment, or other related fields preferred.
  • Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Data Management (IT) and wireless communication systems.
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet functions, database software, and computer application systems.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store/customer locations within seasonal peak times.
  • A valid driver’s license and insurable (no more than two minor moving violations in a three-year period) are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching overhead. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance regularly. The position also requires grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, working around moving machinery, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, speaking, and seeing.

Compensation:

  • Annual base compensation of $55,000 to $75,000

Training:

  • Professional enhanced product knowledge and training provided by manufacturers and mentors to develop skills, knowledge, and expertise

Schedule:

  • 8-Hour shift, Monday through Friday
  • May need to perform duties outside of regular business hours

Work Location:

  • This is not a remote position. Requires to be in person at the five dealership locations, as needed
