Job Title
Sales Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting our products and services, building strong relationships with clients, and driving sales growth within your designated territory. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs, enabling them to deliver tailored solutions that meet client expectations.
Chosen candidates will implement Wicks sales methodology, estimate the costs, resources, and labor needed to complete roofing and solar installation projects. Responsible for performing sales process, research, gathering quotations, assembling project budgets, and preparing client proposals for new business. Maintains relationships with customers and provides support on the projects awarded from submitted proposals.
1. Customer Service. Be point of contact for customers as required.
2. Sales. Perfect sales process and deliver a high-quality sales experience to customers.
3. Prepare project estimates and submit bid proposals.
4. Act as liaison between project management team and customer when needed.
5. Accountability related to project profitability.
6. Reporting. Provide individual sales performance reports as requested to the Sales Manager.
1. Follow Wicks Sales Methodology:
a. Pre-approach discovery call: Reach out to assigned opportunity to schedule site visit.
b. Schedule and perform an onsite site visit.
c. Estimating:
i. Prepare project budget estimates and proposals. Communicate with customers accordingly.
ii. Communicate with key stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives.
iii. Provide expertise in specialized solar and roofing systems and installation requirements.
iv. Follows established standard operating procedures and guidelines for estimating.
v. Research to identify material and equipment costs required to complete solar and/or roofing projects.
vi. Understands labor requirements for installation and calculates related costs.
vii. Organizes information gathered on projects and prepares professionally written proposals.
d. Perform sales presentations.
e. Uploads Bid Sheets to company software.
f. Submits all proposal support documentation (bid sheets, take-offs, notes, pictures) to Sales Manager.
g. Routinely meet with Sales Manager to review individual sales performance related to individual annual sales goals.
h. Participate in community events to represent Wicks and self-generate sales opportunities.
2. Customer/Client Relationship
a. Maintains connections including research and follow up on potential new business.
b. Verbal and written correspondence including assisting in follow up on presented proposals.
c. Provide oversight to make sure projects are smoothly handed off to project management team.
3. Project Management
a. Consults with project management team on proposals to verify customer expectations.
b. Provides support to production managers in communication with customers.
Skills
1. Strong knowledge of territory management principles and practices.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
3. Proficiency in using software tools, including CRMs preferred, for sales management purposes.
4. Ability to perform engaging product demos that resonate with potential customers.
5. Proven experience in customer service, ensuring a positive experience for clients at all stages of the sales process.
6. Strong cold calling skills with a track record of successful lead generation.
7. Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly for territory sales success.
Qualifications
1. Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurance requirements.
2. Past experience and success with a structured sales presentation and closing process is a plus.
3. Sales experience in home services is also a plus.
4. Demonstrated ambition and a positive attitude toward learning and growth; we value drive and mindset over direct product experience.
Compensation Package
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: On Target Earnings (OTE) Over $100,000 with Base Pay of $25,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year plus commission
