SALARY
Commensurate with certification, degree, and experience based on the Wicomico County Unit II Salary Scale. Includes employee benefits package.
HOURS
12 months, (260 days)
FLSA: Exempt
Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit II (Administrative and Supervisory) bargaining unit
QUALIFICATIONS
Maryland State Department of Education certification with Administrator I endorsement
Five years minimum experience working with the public including community service agencies and related service providers
Ability and experience collecting and analyzing date to prepare in-depth analysis of findings, generate reports and respond to areas identified for need
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work well in group problem-solving situations
Ability to identify professional development needs and to design, implement and evaluate professional development for community school coordinators, pupil personnel workers and program-related team members as identified
Working knowledge of Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Pillar 4 in relation to community schools, student resources, and all other areas associated with meeting the needs of all students
Working knowledge of “wraparound services” designated as a focus for community schools
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Word Tables, and Excel charts and spreadsheets
Excellent human relations, oral and written communication skills
Leadership skills and personal qualifications necessary to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, parents and the community
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise community school coordinators and partner staff
Ensure full implementation of community school programs and activities to focus on system of supports for students and families
Plan and deliver professional development for pupil personnel workers in areas of responsibility including but not limited to enrollment, student in transition program, residency requirements, and attendance programs
Plan and deliver professional development for community school coordinators in the areas of implementing the community schools strategy, leading and conducting an assets and needs assessment, analyzing and summarizing various data sources, partnership development and enhancement, and effective community engagement
Supervise and evaluate community school coordinators, pupil personnel workers and other program-related team members as identified
Facilitate the development, implementation and ongoing assessment of the strategic plan for all community schools
Work with school- and district-based leadership to identify needs of community schools including but not limited to school team development, partnership development, program development and service implementation
Maintain data associated with community schools, community school programs, enrollment reporting, attendance reporting and other areas as identified
Manage and complete all community schools reports required of Wicomico County Public Schools for submission to MSDE
Collaborate with school- and district-based leadership to further develop the community-engagement process across all schools
