Job Overview
This position will be responsible for redacting video, audio, and photographs taken from body-worn cameras (BWC) and audio-recording devices, in accordance with efforts to maximize public transparency and comply with statutory privacy requirements
Responsibilities
- Extract video from BWC video (specifically Axon video), interview room video, public and private surveillance video, and other video as required.
- Process and edit 911 call audio, dispatch audio, and officer radio audio as needed.
- Remove faces, private information, and/or protected audio from videos.
- Duplicate video to fulfill public information requests and other internal requests.
- Redact and edit video
- Create training videos and/or other video materials for internal and external use.
- Collaborate and cooperate with outside agencies and entities for video viewing
- Use and regularly update shared network drives and applications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience editing video or in the law enforcement field preferred.
- Knowledge of Maryland Court System and familiarity with Maryland Court rules and regulations preferred.
- Must have experience in the use of personal computer and Microsoft Software.
- Experience working in a professional office environment and communicating with professionals is also required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of English language and Spelling;
- Ability to work independently and confidentially;
- Ability to organize and perform work under pressure;
- Extensive knowledge of complex office practices, procedures, and equipment;
- Must pass background check and drug testing

Pay: $44,427.00 - $50,085.00 per year
