What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Ranger / Beach Patrol position at Wicomico County?
Job Summary
The Park/Ranger Beach Patrol position manages 2 County Beaches: Roaring Point and Cove Road. This position is required to work weekends typically from May through August. Hours per shift will vary depending on the weather but in general, will be 8 hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) 16 Hours per week.
Duties
- This position serves to control parking,
- Direct patrons to the beaches
- Ensure patrons follow Park rules, and
- Provide customer service to the beach patrons.
Requirements
- Strong Public Relations skills and enjoys being around people.
- Ability to learn and understand the rules and regulations.
- Ability to work most weekends during the beach season.
- Ability to work the 2 beach season holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to complete mandatory training successfully.
