Our growing family business is seeking an experienced vinyl & graphics installer to join our team. As a graphics installer, you will be responsible for the careful installation of graphics while meeting the quality and standards our customers expect. This requires attention to detail, understanding the proper use of installation tools, and having best-in-class application techniques. The installer will also need the ability to communicate with stakeholders and resolve on-site issues while maintaining a high commitment to quality. Widaman Sign has been local to Berwyn and family owned & operated since 1971. We are a sign shop specializing in large-format printing and vehicle graphics and lettering. We serve both commercial and private clients in the Chicagoland area, working on anything from large industrial machinery to commercial vehicle fleets to parking signs. With a history in pinstriping and hand lettering, we are locally known for our quality and commitment to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be an excellent communicator and feel comfortable chatting with customers and coworkers about the graphics and the install process.
- Prepare surfaces for quality vinyl graphic installation.
- Removal of vinyl graphics and adhesives from a variety of surfaces without damaging the surface.
- Feel comfortable working with others on the job site and recognizing individual strengths to successfully complete an installation.
- Fully understand the details of an order as well as the production process, and be able to make notes and adjustments.
- Communicate with your team to stay on top of upcoming work and coordinate a schedule to complete installations and other jobs.
- Evaluate daily and weekly workloads to best determine priority items and manage a regular installation schedule to maximize efficiency.
- Audit the completion of upcoming installations projects by checking materials, sizing, quality, and overall accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site and work area; clean up after yourself and keep tools and supplies organized. You may be tasked with ordering and upkeep of installation supplies.
- Collaborate with a team to address any operating issues as they arise, such as scheduling conflicts.
