Responsibilities :
- Customer and Project Collaboration : Collaborate with customers and engineering firms to address technical questions and issues throughout all project stages, from pre-award to post-energization.
- Design Submittals : Prepare and submit design drawings promptly, accurately reflecting agreed-upon specifications. Coordinate with proposal / sales engineers to ensure designs align with client expectations.
- Approval Process Management : Maintain consistent follow-up with customers to facilitate timely design approvals, moving projects forward efficiently.
- Quality-Driven Design : Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects, working closely with the quality manager to address and prevent reliability or quality issues in future designs.
- Compliance and Standards : Create designs that meet industry standards for reliability and compliance, ensuring they align with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Detailed Production Design : Provide comprehensive design details to support production, including accurate part numbers and internal construction specifics, enabling semi-skilled labor to assemble and construct designs effectively.
- Component and Supplier Support : Assist operations in sourcing alternate components or suppliers when availability issues arise with specified items, addressing lead times and availability constraints.
- Innovation and Standards Integration : Stay updated on new component technology, testing methods, and industry standards, integrating these advancements into designs where beneficial for safety and cost efficiency.
- Factory Acceptance Testing : Participate in customer factory acceptance testing when needed, ensuring that final products meet specified requirements.
