Key Responsibilities :
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including NFPA 70E and NEC codes. Design and execute plans for electrical wiring and services for both new and existing equipment, as well as facility projects. Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of industrial electrical and electronic systems, including : CNCs, robotics, vision systems, labelers, palletizers, leak detection systems, temperature controllers, servo motors, HMIs, and PLCs.
Work on electrical systems up to 480V, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Interpret and work from machine assembly prints and wiring diagrams, including European-style schematics. Use Microsoft Office and a computerized Maintenance Management System to document and track maintenance tasks. Install, examine, replace, or repair various electrical components, including : Wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cables, and lighting fixtures.
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Maintain, repair, and test electrical systems such as switchgear, transformers, regulators, and switchboard meters. Service and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries, and control systems (hydraulic and pneumatic). Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as needed. Assist with mechanical and electrical improvements to plant equipment and processes. Implement and execute preventive maintenance programs, keeping accurate records. Train production employees on the proper operation and maintenance of machinery. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide troubleshooting assistance as needed. Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality standards. Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required. Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician certification. Formal training in NFPA 70E safety standards. Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial equipment, and related tools. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in complex systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documents. Familiarity with national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations. Blow molding machine knowledge is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to work shifts, on-call, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Limited travel may be required.
