Job Description
Specific Duties
The duties of the field systems technician shall include but not be limited to the following:
§ Perform first-level support of all IT airport related systems
§ Identify second-level problems and refer them to appropriate organizations or individuals for resolution
§ Ensure that problems are escalated to management for additional attention according to duration and severity
§ Prepare and maintain documentation of all IT airport related systems
§ Perform preventative maintenance and maintain the functionality and cosmetic appearance of IT equipment and facilities
§ Perform component level repair and refurbishment of IT airport related electronic and electromechanical devices
§ Maintain parts and equipment inventories necessary for the timely support of failed hardware
§ Provide manager, supervisor or lead with detailed daily time accounting of all activities, including billable outside services
§ Demonstrate an increasing ability to apply the general skill set
§ Shift, weekend and on-call work required
§ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, systems repair and logistics
