Key Job Responsibilities
- Ability to properly define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions using standard problem solving and data analysis tools (5-Why, A3, 8D, DMAIC, etc.)
- Develop, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes, including corresponding documentation supporting our safety, quality, and production systems.
- Provides leadership and assistance in implementing lean manufacturing methodologies throughout the plant.
- Analyzes data to determine and recommend changes in method, tooling, and equipment to reduce costs.
- Provides input on capital projects, engineering change processes, supplier quality corrective action reports, and new product development projects.
- Ability to manage multiple demands with a sense of urgency.
- Identifies and works to eliminate variability in standard manufacturing processes.
- Support process and equipment reliability.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree and related manufacturing experience in CNC grinding, programming, machine tool design, and related manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience in creative problem solving and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
